What do we do? When do you need us?

You Need a Forensic Document Examiner When:

  • Someone writes your name on a document (check, will, deed, etc.) with the intent to defraud you.
  • Someone writes his own name on a document, yet later denies he wrote it.
  • Someone writes a slanderous or sexually explicit note and doesn't sign it.
  • Someone scans your signature into a computer or cuts out your signature from a document and transfers it to another document.
  • Someone types in or adds information not on the original document.
  • Medical records appear altered with unexplained cross outs, whiteouts, or additions.
  • Someone changes the date on a document or claims it was written before or after it actually existed.
